August 3rd Supercar Show at Lamborghini Newport Beach

As usual for this past summer, we held our Supercar Show this past Saturday at our dealership since it was the first Saturday of the month.  The temperatures were perfect with the overcast clouds keeping the sun at bay until about lunch time.  While Lamborghini's were strong as usual in showing, we had a few new and returning visitors that brought along some much appreciated variety.
One of the few Koenigsegg's in the United States decided to grace us with its Swedish presence as it entered our lot parting the sea of onlookers with its low rumbling engine.  Its perfect carbon fiber weave throughout the body fascinated all.  It was actually quite difficult to get pictures of the Koenigsegg CCX without having a few extra people in the frame.
Ranging from Porsche 911's to Ferrari 458's, the swiss-army-like Aston Martin's to monstrous-engined Dodge Vipers, and even to the road-going vehicles missing a 4th wheel such as the T-Rex, this Supercar Show had a vehicle for anyone and everyone to salivate over.  A small group of R8 enthusiasts proudly crawled in with slickness that would even get Iron-Man's Tony Stark a bit jealous.
McLaren Newport Beach had on display their Marlboro-theme 12C Coupe along with two 12C Spiders, one of which, a freshly-arrived 12C Spider in the popular Volcano Orange paint.
A crowd favorite was a Lamborghini Diablo SV that had everyone ooh'ing and ahh'ing as it made its entrance to our Supercar Show.
In a few locations throughout our parking lot were some rather interesting situations.  A Ferrari 458 Italia parked next to two McLaren 12C's, and next to one of the McLaren 12C's was a Ferrari F430 which had on its other side an Audi R8.  Not far from there one row back, a Lamborghini Gallardo next to a Ferrari F430.
A gull-wing'd rarity in the crowd was a DMC DeLorean that had made its way through the crowd with both doors raised proudly.  The retro-looking DeLorean, made famous due to the movie "Back to the Future", seemed at home as it entered a sea of many cars that possessed doors which opened in every way possible except normal.  With Lamborghini's vertical scissor doors to McLaren's dihedral doors to Koenigsegg's "dihedral synchro-helix actuation system" doors, the DeLorean's gull-wing seems quite the norm.
On display inside Lamborghini Newport Beach's dealership was the "V12 Section" as a Lamborghini Aventador, Murcielago, Diablo Roadster, and 350 GT were all next to each other with arms reach.  The special 350 GT, while not for sale, definitely grabbed some attention away from the Aventador and Murcielago since the pleasure of witnessing a 350 GT in person is quite rare.
Also on display was a newcomer to the V12 family, an Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster.  Parked on our loading ramp, the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster was sectioned off on its own to allow all to get a chance and see the new Roadster up close in person.
Until next month folks, keep them all rubber-side down.
